Siddiqi's response to the reviewer's comments. He accepts that parts of the book are outdated and he could try to rewrite them. However, he says the book will be outdated by the time he is done rewriting as it is a rapidly advancing field. He disagrees with the reviewer on the completeness of the book, saying that it was not meant to be a comprehensive textbook of genetics.
