We invite teacher educators or teachers-in-training with a passion for writing, research, and science education to join a unique project that will help build learning resources in the history of science through storytelling.
Selected candidates will use archival materials in the collections at Archives at NCBS to develop short, well-researched, and engaging biographies (800–1000 words) of five people who work with science. Through this project, participants will learn how to work with primary sources, strengthen their writing and research skills, and help create open access science education resources.
They will work closely with the Education team at the Archives at NCBS.
The completed biography series will be published on the Archives website.
Eligibility Criteria
- Open to teacher educators, pre-service teachers, and teachers-in-training from any discipline.
- Strong interest in writing, research, and science education.
- Ability to commit time towards archival research, drafting, and revisions over the period of the fellowship.
- Prior experience in academic writing and storytelling is welcome, but not mandatory.
