Masood Haider informs O. Siddiqi that the Aligarh Alumni Associations of North America has decided to give Siddiqi the "Sir Syed Ahmed Khan Lifetime Achievement Award for Excellence in Poetry, Literature, Arts or Sciences". Siddiqi, in his response, thanks Haider and says that he is a "fervent admirer of Sir Syed and you decision gives me much joy". Siddiqi reflects on his years at Aligarh and recalls Dr Intisar who taught him chemistry.
